Student Class Placement 2020 - 2021
Dear HES Families and Caregivers,
Every spring the student placement process begins for the following school year. In years past, a family "green sheet" placement survey was included in the March report card. Due to the virtual environment that we currently find ourselves in, this opportunity is now being offered electronically through this optional survey.
Your input, coupled with our teachers' knowledge of each student, informs the HES staff decisions for 2020-2021 class placement. The information that you are welcome to provide through this optional survey is intended to be helpful to me and the classroom teacher in the final determination of class assignments.
If you chose to complete this survey, your response is required by Friday, May 22, 2020. Please know that information received after this time will not be considered, and that requests for a specific teacher cannot be honored.
In the past, HES class placements for the following school year were included in June's report card. With the delay in the school budget process, class placements for the 2020 - 2021 school year will be communicated to families the first week of August, 2020. Please note that no changes to placement will be made after class lists are released in August. Now is the time to provide any information that you would like to be considered as part of this placement process through this optional survey.
Please contact me if you have questions or concerns at moldach@monomoy.edu or 508-430-7216. We are looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year with your child!
Most sincerely,
Mary Oldach, Principal

"Written by educator and parent coach Joan Morgenstern of Senders Pediatrics and illustrated by Lucy Williams, the printable story provides age-appropriate information about why people are wearing masks. It’s filled with colorful illustrations and written in lyrical language that children will enjoy. The PDF also includes an activity to help children understand that masks are not scary.
