What We Are Learning This Week
Language Arts: main idea; long vowels (VCe); Expository Nonfiction writing. Please note that we will be working on the long vowel pattern this week but we will NOT have a spelling test this week due to the short week!
Social Studies: Students will learn about places found in a community and will design a community that includes places to live, work, and play. We will also learn about the history of the community of Marshall, Texas.
Science: We are wrapping up our discussions on hibernation and migration. This week we will look at basic needs of plants and animals.
Math: We will continue to work on composing numbers in different ways. We are working towards to composing numbers up to 1,200. We will also begin to work with writing numbers in expande form.
