6th Grade News

April 4-8

Parents -

This week has been a busy, but productive week. Our biggest announcement is the CAR WASH HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THIS SATURDAY. With the temperature high of 40 for the day, we feel rescheduling is our best option. Once we make contact with Advance Auto and set a new date, we will let you know.

Student Behavior - Student behavior in class is beginning to be a challenge for many students. With the onset of warmer weather, students sometimes find it harder to follow expectations. However, expectations will remain the same and students will be held accountable for their poor choices. Please be in conversation with your student about their behavior and adherence to expectations each evening. Your support from home is vital to make these last few weeks of elementary school wonderful and memorable.

New Calendar Item - We wanted to let you know in plenty of advance the date and time for the 6th Grade Send Off Ceremony (graduation). We will be holding the ceremony on Tuesday, May 24th @ 9:00-11:00am. It is a rather lengthy time. We celebrate each student, show a slideshow of pictures from their elementary career with 6th grade highlights, and have a time for refreshments/reflections/pictures at the end. It is such a nice way to end the year together reminiscing. We have LOVED having your student. I think we enjoy this day as much as the families do. Each of your children have a special place in our hearts.

Well, that is all for this week. Please see important dates below.
