NEW Achievement Application
Nebraska 4-H has created a new Achievement Application (https://4h.unl.edu/annual-achievement-application) form that will be used as an alternative to the Career Portfolio beginning this year. Lincoln and Logan County 4-H members may apply for 4-H Camp Scholarships using this form and graduating High School seniors in Lincoln County will apply for College Scholarships with this new application.
This new application form is more closely resembles the kinds of questions being asked on college applications and in resumes, 4-H’ers will be better prepared to be college and job ready while keeping a record of the achievements.
Application Instructions:
This application is for all 4-H participants ages 8-18. It will be used for the selection of county, state and national awards including the selection of 4-H Camp Scholarships, College Scholarships and delegates to National 4- H Congress and National 4-H Conference
To serve as a delegate for either National trip, youth must turn ages 15-19 during the calendar year in which the trip occurs. If you are interested in being considered as a delegate for these national experiences, you will make that designation on your application.
1. National 4-H Conference is a weeklong program held at the National 4-H Center, Chevy Chase, Md., in March/April. It is a future-focused program that aims to build strong leaders through roundtable discussions, team-building activities, group assemblies and visits with national legislators.
2. National 4-H Congress is held in November/December in Atlanta, Ga. The program provides opportunities to learn about community involvement, cultural diversity and service to others.
County Award Applications in Lincoln – Logan – McPherson Counties should include the following and be submitted via email no later than October 15, 2018. (baufdenkamp1@unl.edu)
