Message From The Principal

Happy Friday Eagles,

We are wrapping up the school year with four days remaining (only 2 days for seniors). The last date to submit work to teachers is on Wednesday, June 1, at 2:30 PM. We are excited to see our seniors and their families at graduation on Friday, June 3.

Friday will be my last day in the role of principal at RVHS. I have enjoyed the last three years immeasurably. I will continue to serve as the Director of Alternative Education and CTE, so I will be around to support our students and teachers. I could not be more impressed with the amazing staff at RVHS, and their commitment to supporting our students and families. The district is the process of hiring my replacement.

With this being my last newsletter, I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to reflect on the tragedies which have which occurred in the past month. As a former elementary school principal and the father of three young adults, I was crushed to hear about the lives that were lost on Tuesday in Texas. The shootings in Buffalo and Orange County were horrific acts of hate. No words can adequately express the sorrow that I feel for the victims and their families.

When will it be enough? When will we decide that we can and must do better? Please hold your children tight. Stay involved in their lives. Show them the love and compassion they deserve. Reach out for help if you need it.

Think different. Be different.
