A message from the Administration
We have had a very successful first two weeks back in person five days a week. Students have been doing a GREAT job with showing the Whitney Way! There have been so many changes this year and our students are amazing examples of resilience, perseverance and flexibility! Thank you for supporting your child(ren) in their education this year, you are an important member of our team at Whitney! We want to wish you a safe, relaxing and fun Spring Break!

Looking ahead...
April 2nd: Report Cards Sent home
Aprill-May: ISAT Testing for 3rd-6th grades teachers will let you know exact dates.
March 29th-April 30th: Bikes for Books! (See Below)
April 7th: Parent Cafe
April 12th: Track begins for 5th and 6th graders. Stay tuned for more information!
May 3-7: Staff Appreciation Week
May 28th: Last Day of School, Early Release
June 21 – July 23: Summer School (must qualify to attend, contact julie.scharfen@boiseschools.org or 208-854-6446 for questions)

Before School ...
- We have added a drop off area off S. Atlantic St. See the map below.
- The gate on S. Atlantic will be closed at 8:40. Students must come to the front of the school after 8:40.
- Parents please drop off no earlier than 8:30.
- Please be on time. The bell rings at 8:40.
- Playground is closed.
- Walkers/Bikers/Scooters etc. please arrive as close to 8:35.
- Students report to a their designated area and sit/stand until teacher escorts them to class.
- Please call the office for questions about arrival.
After School Reminders...
Dismissal Updates & Reminders
In order to lessen the wait time we ask parents to arrive for pick up at the following times:
- Parents/Guardians of students with the last name A-L pick up at 3:07
- Parents/Guardians of students with the last name M-Z pick up at 3:17
If you don't want to wait in line here are alternatives to Curbside Parent Pickup
- Designate a meet up area close by the school and pick up your child there.
- Park your car on a side street. Meet your child at the walker meet up area.
- If you live close by in the neighborhood, have your child walk home with a group of peers.

Due to COVID protocols we are not able to allow classroom treats for birthday's or holiday celebrations.
