2nd law of motion
By: Shana Johnson
Description
Acceleration is equal to force divided by mass
a=f/m f=ma
How we use it
A really scary experience of mine was being on a roller coaster. The roller coaster is accelerated by gravity after being lifted to the top of the ramp. So of course the higher the ramp, the longer it can accelerate, and the faster the roller coaster will be going when it reaches the bottom which is pretty much terrifying. Playing volleyball is another example of 2nd law of motion. The more force i used the higher the ball accelerated and i scored because of that but if i used less force then i probably wouldn't of been too happy.
The more force behind the bat hitting the ball, the further the ball will go.
The more force pushing the vehicle the more acceleration it will have
The acceleration of the bowling ball is hitting the pins and more likely to knock more of the pins down
