Safety Services Task Force Committee
In an effort to further enhance safety across the North Little Rock School District, Dr. Gregory J. Pilewski, the Superintendent of the North Little Rock School District, and Patrick Thessing, Chief of Police for the City of North Little Rock, have developed a School Safety Task Force Committee, made up of parents, mental health professionals, medical practitioners, and law enforcement leaders.

High School Students Earn Top Academic Honors
Congratulations to the 44 students from NLRHS and the COE identified as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars following the spring exams! These students scored 3 or above on 3 or more AP exams.
Twenty-eight of those students graduated in the Class of 2022.
We caught up with the 16 students who are still in the district, and they tell us on what exams they scored a 3 or better, and the district's Gifted Education Coordinator provides information on AP Scholars and the benefits of enrolling in AP courses.

College Board National Recognition Program Awardees
MacKenzie Dunbar, Addison Dupens, Evelyn Moran, Kassidy Nichols, and Sarah Roden have academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs. These National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country, helping them meaningfully connect to colleges and stand out during the admissions process.
