FYI- STAFF UPDATE
Please help me welcome Andrea Gross to the school community. She will be assuming our Health/Phy. Ed position.
If a student leaves their school issued device in your area of supervision, you must return it to the Counseling Office or Media Center, preferably upon discovery, and no later than end of your duty day.
KNIGHT PRIDE TICKETS
The school store is open, and the students are loving it! A big thank you to all of you who are using this as a positive reinforcement for our students. As we continue through the school year, I would like to encourage you to continue this practice, but be cautious on the number of tickets that are distributed at one time. Providing large numbers of tickets at one time, not only diminishes the long term impact of the tickets, but negates the efforts of others. Distributions of a packet or packets of tickets is strongly discouraged.
REMINDER: SYSTEM LEARNING LOCATIONS
Pipeline: Is there no way out?
Do you create a daily agenda to display on the board when students come into the room? Did you know that you can create this in a Google tool (Google Doc or Google Slides), link it into a Schoology course and every day you make changes to it in google, it will update automatically in Schoology?!?
If you want support in doing this, reach out to Marie Lundt at firstname.lastname@example.org and she can come help get this going for you.
Technology Support Survey:The purpose of this voluntary survey is to determine technology support needs of staff at North View Middle School. If you have not taken it ye; please click here for access.
TIER THREE (RED ZONE) REFERRALS:
If you are reporting an incident that involves a threat to staff or student safety, please be sure to connect with Kim Sturdy personally. Because administrators are not always at our desks during the school day, emailing or leaving a message for us might not get a timely response. You can do this by calling her or stopping down to the administration office. If you are unsure about what a tier three incident is, please click here for that information.
The link found here will take you to a form to report any non-emergency conditions that could contribute to an unsafe school environment and/or to make suggestions that will improve school safety. When completing this form, it is not necessary to identify yourself*, but please be as specific as possible so we can respond effectively. All submissions will be reviewed daily and discussed at our weekly administrative meetings. This form should not be used in lieu of discipline referrals or to report emergency situations. If you have any questions about this form, please let me know and I will assist.
