A Look Back
We continue to have a great time in Kindergarten. We have all had a great time in the Pet Shop, but I think it is time to open a restaurant. The children have been working very hard in stations. They really have enjoyed finding letters to build high frequency words in our rice tub. They also enjoyed matching names to their friends.
A Look Ahead
This week in math we will be measuring some fun fall items. We will be seeing how tall a scarecrow, pumpkin, owl and skeleton are. We will see how long a bat, a web and a spider are.
In reading we will continue to work on high frequency words, letter sounds and rhyming. We will start working on hearing syllables in words.
In science we will be working with pumpkins as part of our living/ non-living unit. We will cut one open and explore the different parts.
Our Field Trip
We are looking forward to our field trip that we will be taking place next week to the Farm at the Children's Home. If you have not sent in the money or permission slip, please do so as soon as possible. I have extra permission slips if you need one. Our Kindergarten shirts will be here by our trip date.
