My Journal Entery

I wouldn’t go on the Oregon trial or move because I like the house I live in. But if I had to I would if I didn’t have a choice would be happy to go and support my family and friends. If I had to go I would bToday is July 1st 1848 and we are going to Oregon on the Oregon trial. I am traveling with my Mom, Dad, 3 sisters, my Uncle and my Grandma and Grandpa. They are fun to travel with because they come up with games to play and things to do. We made it to Missouri and we are all good and heathy except us kids because our feet hurt because we have to walk all day long until we come to stop for the night and rest. We love to collect things for the fire. We think it is a treasure hunt. It is morning about 6:00 and we are already on the road. My sisters and I brought some books and I brought a doll for my little sisters to play with and keep out of the way. They each brought a doll to. They were all stuffed with stuffing so they were pretty light. We ate eggs and bacon for breakfast today. It was a good meal. We had to pack a lot of food so us kids had to carry our dolls. We didn’t care. We would play while we walked and sometimes I would give my little sisters piggy back rides so they wouldn’t cry. The oxen were fun to ride at the end of the day. We came across a river today and we crossed it easily because it was shallow. I fell off once in a really shallow spot and I knew how to swim so I swam back to the ship we made out of our wagon. My sisters and I called our wagon a ship with a little imagination. We are stopping for the night now so we are helping my mom on making dinner and getting buffalo chips to make fuel. We saw our first herd of buffalo today. It was scary and awesome! We had a scary part to walk around the wagons and buffalo. We passed some symbols and Indian Territory. I think tomorrow will be a good day and we might have to cross a river again tomorrow. I think we will be a happy day to travel!

My Opinoin

I wouldn’t go on the Oregon trial or move because I like the house I live in. But if I had to I would if I didn’t have a choice would be happy to go and support my family and friends. If I had to go I would bring my dog my mom dad sisters if they wanted to and things I need. Things I need would be medicine, clothing, and food, books to study and to keep up with my learning. I would be happy to move if I needed to so I would be an excellent person to ask if you needed to be with someone to move. This would be my opinion if I had a choice move on the Oregon Trail and to leave my home. But if I had choice I would say no and stay at my house until I had to move and I didn’t have a choice.
