NCDOT Aviation Art Contest - deadline Approaching!
Each student will receive a digital certificate of participation. Cash prizes, presented by the North Carolina Airports Association, will be awarded to the Top 3 winners in each age category and their schools. Additionally, the North Carolina Museum of Art will display the winning artwork.
You may send your artwork via USPS, FedEx, or UPS or drop it off between 8 AM to 5 PM at our office at the RDU International Airport but be sure to use the appropriate address listed below.

The contest rules, entry forms, and the REQUIRED Certificate of Authenticity:
The artwork will be returned if:
• The student does not place (1st, 2nd, 3rd) at the National or International level, and
• Appropriate return packaging/mailer and postage are provided by the student or school AT
THE TIME THE ARTWORK IS SUBMITTED.

VGCC Student Mardi Gras Dance - Seniors & Super Seniors ONLY
The VGCC Mardi Gras Dance is free for all VGCC adult students, Senior and Super-senior Early College Students, and adult continuing education students. (Only eligible participants will gain entrance.)
Registration is Required
- Registration deadline: January 30, 2023.
- Each student will be allowed to bring (1) outside guest.
- Signup must include the guest's information, and a photo ID will be required for all attendees. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
Dance Theme: Mardi Gras “Masquerade of Mystery.”
- Students can wear fun and elaborate masks that cover just their eyes.
- Free masks will be for the first 25 participants at the dance.
- Appropriate attire is expected from all attendees.
There will be a live DJ, food, drinks, a photo booth, and more.
Safety Protocols:
- Masks must be removed for ID purposes.
- Various law enforcement officers will be on duty to ensure the safety of all attendees.
- Once you leave the building, there will not be reentry.
So come out and celebrate VGCC first ever-student dance!!!!
