Take a Stand Against Sex Trafficking
Have you ever felt like making a change in the world, but didn't know where to start? If that's the case, this is your opportunity to help put an end to injustice. Sex trafficking is one of the fastest growing organized crime in the world, and if nothing is done to stop it, it will just keep growing. It affects over 20 million people in the world, and an estimation of 800,00 woman and children are trafficked every year. Human Trafficking often leads to victims that are children and women working in the sex industry, which includes roles such as strip club dancing, prostitution, involuntary servitude, pornographic-film acting, and much more. To learn more about this, we have invited a TED Talks speaker, Sunita Krishnan, who has rescued over 3,200 people, to come to Rick Hansen. She has worked with numerous people, as well as three and four year old children who have been sold into sexual slavery. So ask yourself, is this really the world you want to live in? A world where people are afraid to walk the streets without worrying about what may happen to them? If not, help take a stand against this injustice.
