What is AVID?
- AVID is a class offered to students who would like to prepare for four-year universities
- The curriculum features writing, inquiry, collaboration, reading, note-taking, study skills, and college/career/motivational activities
- Students MUST commit to keeping a binder and taking notes in subject-area classes on a daily basis and to reviewing those notes every night for homework
- Other requirements include: satisfactory, citizenship, good attendance, and B-C academic average.
