Showing how rich in color nature can be.

helps you to imagine the sound of nature the fresh crispness of all the birds singing and the wind rustling the trees.
"future warmth and light" (20)
helping you to imagine the feeling of the sun on your face.
Personification
"will scratch hieroglyphics"
birds can't actually scratch hieroglyphics in the sky.
"Spring will understand"
The season spring cannot possibly understand any emotion, but it does add effect to the feeling of spring.
"Let the willows and ferns suck me dry"
Willows and ferns can't actually suck you dry, but this expression tells you how many there are and how green the scene is.
