- Any students with health concerns who are returning to school in person must complete the forms below and submit them to our school nurse, Ms. Alexis Kerr.
- Hybrid Freshmen may attend orientation on January 19th, which will include a tour of the school so that students are able to find their classrooms. We recommend students bring a printed or digital copy of their class schedule. There will be a later orientation for Freshmen who selected the distance model.
- The bell schedule will be adjusted for second semester. Please review the new SBHS bell schedule. We may move between both the distance and hybrid bell schedules as we adjust to hybrid or distance instruction based on community conditions.
Health Office Forms for Hybrid Students
Students returning in the hybrid model may need to submit forms regarding their medical needs. Please email Nurse Alexis Kerr your student's Allergy Action Plan, Asthma Action Plan, Seizure Emergency Action Plan, Authorization for Medication Administration and/or Diabetic Medical Management Plan as applicable (Click here for blank copies of the forms).
Please email completed forms to: Alexis.Kerr@lcps.org. PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF MEDICATIONS OR MEDICAL SUPPLIES AT THIS TIME. Please note that if your student requires an inhaler during the school day, they will need a spacer available in school due to concerns related to COVID-19.
PTSO Meeting January 12th
Join us for our monthly PTSO meeting this Tuesday, January 12, from 7-8pm on Zoom. We will have a short PTSO business meeting followed by a brief principal's update. The last half of the meeting we will hear from local adolescent psychologist and family coach, Dr. Cameron Caswell. She will be sharing secrets to building resilience and motivation in our students and give some practical tips and strategies for creating more peace in the home. Learn how to not just survive, but to thrive! We will email the meeting Zoom link on Tuesday morning.

Gymnastics finished 2nd at their meet vs Freedom and 1st in their meet vs Briar Woods and Rock Ridge this week.

Special Olympics & Unified Sports Fundraiser
The Special Olympics Virginia Youth Leadership Council is comprised of students who work together to educate, motivate, and activate more students to become agents of change in their communities and advocate for the respect, inclusion and acceptance of all people, regardless of abilities. Congrats to Anna Good and Kyra Campbell, who represent Stone Bridge on this year’s Youth Leadership Council.
Our current fundraiser is the Cool School Penguin Plunge, an all-virtual take on a polar plunge. The penguins Stone Bridge earns through raising donations will be racing on February 5th through a lazy river at the Special Olympics Virginia partner hotel, Holiday Inn North Beach. Stone Bridge is competing against other schools across the state. The more money we raise, the more penguins we have in the race!
50% of the money we raise for the Penguin Plunge goes directly to Stone Bridge’s Unified Sports program. In addition, the school who has the winning penguin will win a dunk tank to dunk one of their favorite teachers! Please consider donating today!
For more details, read this slide show put together by our leadership team.
Key Club Bellringing Fundraiser
Key Club members supported the Salvation Army kettle campaign with 122 hours of bellringing on the weekends and school holidays leading up to Christmas Eve. This year marks more than a decade of Stone Bridge students taking responsibility for the kettle at the Ashburn Farm Giant. Thanks to all of our members, including Sarah Goldstein and Catherine Donahue, pictured here, for their hard work!
