Visitors to the building

  • Please remember, we are required to limit traffic within our offices. If you need to drop off your student, pick up your student, or drop off items to your student please contact the office at 269-795-3349.
  • Pick up students - A member of the office staff will bring the student out to your vehicle.
  • Drop off students- Students may enter the building on their own. If students visited a doctor, please have your student bring in a doctor's note with the students name on it.
  • Drop off items- Items can be dropped off in the designated grade level bins in the foyer. Please put the student's name on the items. You may contact the front office to let us know the items are there.

Morning Drop Off

  • Please remember when dropping off your Middle School student to pull completely around the circle. This will allow all students to exit cars quickly and keep the flow moving.
  • Additionally, we are allowing student drop off to take place in the bus loop after 7:25 am in the morning. (Please see the photo with for visual directions.)

***Important Schools of Choice Information ***

Thornapple Kellogg's School of Choice window will be April 12 - May 14, 2021. In order to help with our planning for the number of application openings to post, we are asking for your assistance. If your family is currently a School of Choice family and has an upcoming Young 5 or Kindergarten student (or other unenrolled grade level sibling) who needs to apply for School of Choice, please contact the administration office with your child's information, 269-795-5522. The student will still need to apply during the window, but sharing your information will be helpful in the planning. Thank you.

Staff Member of the Week

We are very excited to announce our next Staff Member of the Week nomination! Remember, these are always submitted by our students! Congratulations to Officer Nieuwenhuis...aka “Chewy”!

He is described as a nice guy that is always there to help! Chewy is so funny and likes to joke around with the students. He is definitely someone you can go to if needed!

Thank you Officer Nieuwenhuis for being an amazing part of our TKMS family!

Spanish Club Trip

Dear Parents and Students (Students, please share this with your families!),

I’m excited to announce that I will lead a group of students on a once‐in‐a‐lifetime educational adventure to Europe in 2022. Students will explore important historic sites, discover the diversity and heritage of different cultures, and return home with a newfound global perspective. This trip will be an unforgettable educational experience. I’ve chosen to travel with WorldStrides again because of their exceptional service and their strong safety record. Their programs offer the perfect mixture of fun and learning and provide everything we need for the trip of a lifetime!

Please visit http://www.educationaltravel.com/Gabrielse-2022 for more details about WorldStrides and this trip. There is also a video presentation with more details here. If you have any questions, you can contact me at sgabrielse@tkschools.org.

WorldStrides is currently offering risk-free enrollment for participants enrolling by March 1st on an automated payment plan.

I would love for your student to join us on this unforgettable trip! Enroll by March 4th for an extra $350 early enrollment savings off the trip!

And please feel free to share with any other students or families who you know who may be interested in joining!

Sincerely,
Mr. Gabrielse
