Wonder
Raquel J Palacio
Wonder is a realistic fiction book because this has never happened, but it could happen. In my book August was born with an birth defect. He is trying to over come the struggles of middle school. It is even harder to do when no one wants to hangout with him except for Jack his best friend. This book shows you how it is important to treat each other the way you would want to be treated.
In this book I love how the author describes each scene. She uses figurative language in important scenes. For example "I couldn't really see what happened afterward, except that Amos rammed into the Eddie guy like a monster truck and they both fell on the ground next to me." I love this part because I love how I can see it in my mind as I am reading the book.
I would most definitely recommend this book to someone who loves to read amazing books. I would give this 5 stars, because the story isn't predictable. It has amazing figurative language. For example
It teaches you what it feels like to be on the other side of bulling the side where you are being bullied instead of bulling.
