no school on Monday, September 7.


Classes will resume for all students on Tuesday September 8.

A Note From Mrs. Wilker


Dear Galatas Families,


Thank you for a great week! It was wonderful to hear laughter and see students in our hallways as we welcomed back our in-person learners. I also enjoyed entering virtual classrooms to say hello and extend birthday wishes to some of our remote students. I am looking forward to visiting the remainder of the remote classes next week.


We will continue to begin our dismissal process 10 minutes early through September 11, so that we can match students with guardians and ensure students are sitting in assigned seats on the buses. Walkers and bike riders will be dismissed at 3:00 p.m. followed by bus and car riders. If you are utilizing the car line, please have your completed pink car rider sign visible on the driver side for our staff to scan.


In observance of Labor Day, we will not have school on Monday. Classes for both in-person and remote students will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

September Virtual PTO General Meeting

Please join us for the September Virtual PTO General Meeting! All are welcome and encouraged to attend. It will be a great opportunity to meet other members and find out more about the upcoming events you can be a part of.

The meeting will be Thursday, September 10th at 10 AM via ZOOM.

COVID Screener Forms

In-person families should review the student check-in form each day prior to arriving on campus. It is not necessary to turn anything in to your teacher. If you answer "yes" to any of the questions on the form then you can not come to school.

A Message from the School Nurse

If your student will need to take medications during school hours, please complete the medication permission form below, and submit either via email or in person when dropping off the medications. Please note many of the over the counter medications will require a physician signature this year. Please see additional notes from the nurse in the Gazette regarding new guidelines. Due to social distancing, medication drop-off will be by appointment only and the school nurse will meet you on the front porch to check in medications. Please email the school nurse at kriggs@conroeisd.net to schedule the appointment. Thank you!

Conroe ISD Technology Help Desk


Conroe ISD will have a Technology Help Desk to assist teachers, students, parents, and guardians with Canvas, Seesaw, Parent Access, or Student Access. The Help Desk is available from 7:30 AM until 9:00 PM. You may reach the Help Desk by emailing help@conroeisd.net or calling 936-709-7658. Canvas users can also click the 'Help' button prior to logging in for assistance.

CISD Roadmap to Re-opening

The content on the Roadmap to Reopening webpages is designed to provide information relevant for the 2020-2021 school year. The details on this page are subject to change as we receive guidance from the Texas Education Agency, Governor’s Office, and State and local officials. Please check back often for the most up-to-date information.

Campus Curbside Meal Pick-up

Breakfast and lunch meals will be available curbside for students to purchase or free to students who qualify.

  • Families are asked to pick up/purchase meals for all of their children at the campus of their oldest child.
  • Meals will be available curbside at all campuses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM - 12 PM.
  • Multiple meals will be distributed at a time.
    • Tuesday: 2 breakfast meals/2 lunch meals
    • Thursday: 3 breakfast meals/3 lunch meals
  • A student meal card must be presented to scan and identify the student when meals are picked up.
    • This card is located in Parent Access and can be printed on paper or presented electronically on a phone.
  • Any change from a cash transaction will be applied to the student's meal account.
  • Pre-payments can be made at www.myschoolbucks.com.
  • Meal prices and the free and reduced meal application are available on the Child Nutrition website.

CISD Auxiliary Virtual Job Fair

The Auxiliary Virtual Job Fair will take place September 1–20, 2020. Please visit the Job Fair webpage here for more information on how to apply for the following positions: Bus Driver, Bus Monitor, Cafeteria Associate, Crossing Guard, Custodian, Grounds Pesticide Applicator, Journeyman Electrician, Police Officer, and Prevention Control Monitor.
