June 2017
From the Principal’s Desk:
Welcome to summer! What a wonderful time of year. Summer is a time for fun, relaxation, travel and seeing friends and family. It's also a time to reflect on another school year finished successfully! This past year, WVL graduated 33 seniors and I want to congratulate all of them for a job well done. I also want to congratulate their families for the support which they provided them on their K-12 academic career. What will those next years bring? Some of you will go on to college, some on to a job or apprenticeship or maybe you are planning a gap year or a year of technical classes or military or something completely different! Wherever you go next, remember to "show up" in life and be your best self. Enjoy the journey!
This time of year is also for looking ahead and all that brings! I have enjoyed being your principal and executive director this year in so many ways, it would be challenging to verbalize them all in a short letter. However, let me say this: What an extraordinary year it has been! This opportunity has allowed me to meet people, learn more about the school and the wonderful families who join us. And for this, I am forever grateful! Now, I will need to say "see you later," as I move forward in my professional career. Good luck to all of you as you take this journey we call life. Thank you for a year of adventure!
Your partner in learning,
