Davis/Martin Peek at the Week
April 3rd - April 7th
Dear Parents,
We could not be more proud of our fifth graders and the effort they put into their day at JA Biztown last Thursday. We hope you've checked out the photos in our Facebook group. Our students did such a great job and had a lot of fun!
On Thursday, April 13th, the 5th grade will be taking our annual trip to the State Capitol and Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock. There is no cost for this field trip. We will get back to school between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m., so students will need to be picked up. Permission slips are due Tuesday.
April Scholastic book order forms were passed out last week and will be due THIS Friday, April 7th. If your child turns in a book order of $5 or more, he or she will receive a coupon from Mrs. Martin to choose one FREE book (up to $5). This is such a great deal!
Next Monday and Tuesday, April 10th and 11th, students will take their last round of ACT Aspire interim assessments. It is so important for students to arrive on time both days, so that we may start on time. These tests are set up vey similar to what the actual state tests will look like. They are given to help students get comfortable with taking these tests on a computer, as well as help them become familiar with the types of questions they might see. The actual dates of our state assessments will be the week of May 1 - 5.
