Kia ora Parents/Care Givers

As you would be aware, the union representatives for our teaching staff have been negotiating with the government for improved working conditions and pay increases.

We have received an update that there will no longer be a strike day, but there will be a planned union meeting for all union members on the afternoon of Wednesday 31st May. All members are entitled to attend this meeting. Due to limited staff we cannot continue normal teaching and learning lessons. Whilst we apologise for any inconvenience we ask that students go home at 1pm on Wednesday 31st May.

Supervision will be available for those students who are unable to go home at this time.

Could you please email the classroom teacher should your child require care and supervision for the Wednesday afternoon. SKIDS will likely be offering supervision from 1 pm as well, although at the time of writing I have not received confirmation of this.

We appreciate your support and once again apologise for any disruption.
