Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is the nation's largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign. Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. At the elementary level we are focusing on making positive and healthy choices. You can go to https://www.redribbon.org/ to learn more.
Check out the flyer for our Red Ribbon Spirit Week happening Tuesday, October 26 through Monday, October 31.
Red Ribbon Week Costume Day
On Monday, October 31st, we will have a costume parade as part of our final day of Red Ribbon Week. Students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes as we parade around the school to “Say Boo! to drugs and bad choices”.
Parents are invited to come for the parade which will be held outdoors at 9:45 AM and then for afternoon Kindergarten students only at 1:30 PM.
Parents do not need to sign in at the front office, but instead, are invited to stand around the building lining the sidewalk of the school. Please do not stand on the sidewalk, as that is where the students will be walking during the parade.
Parade route below⬇️
Trunk or Treat
Pickerington Elementary PTO would like to invite you and your families to attend our Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 30th from 2:00-5:00 PM. We are also looking for Trunks to pass out candy as well as parent volunteers for the day of the event.
🚨 Nov. 8 Bond Issue🚨
Pickerington Schools’ Nov. 8 bond issue will be used to address this rapid growth in the student population by constructing a new junior high and renovating and expanding existing facilities. Community approval of the bond issue will help our students for years to come, and will help keep our schools and property values strong. Learn more about the bond issue on our website. Don’t forget that early in-person and absentee voting by mail is open now and election day is Nov. 8. More information about voting is available on the Vote Ohio website.

THANKSGIVING MEAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
Local community members are interested in donating Thanksgiving meals to other Pickerington families. This is a confidential donation, neither the names of donors or recipients will be shared. Due to the amount of food in the box, an adult will need to be available to come and pick it up from Pickerington Elementary. The pick up time is to be determined and will be communicated closer to that date.
If you are interested in receiving a Turkey dinner, please contact me at Phone:(614)548-1431 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by November 11th.
Please let me know how many family members live in your house so we can make sure the appropriate amount of food is boxed.
