Mission Statement:

Empower. Encourage. Inspire.

Empowering students to be leaders

Encouraging leaders to pursue greatness

Inspiring greatness to change the world

From the Principal:

Dear Parents,

We want to thank everyone for participating in our fundraiser last week. Students earned many coops and we hope we've earned the money we need to fund our Leader in Me Program. We will let you know when you can pick up your cookie dough here at school.

We also want to thank those 'Every Day Heroes' that were honored by our students on September 11th. Our student speakers, Leighton, Bentley, Kaydence, and Keagan, did a great job of speaking about their heroes and leading our program.

Our parent club has organized the Fun Run for Friday, September 20th. Students are asked to get sponsors from family/friends for each lap they run/walk around the track or just a flat donation. Parent Club is hoping to raise $10,000 this year which will be given to teachers to use for their classrooms. Students will run/walk on the high school track for 30 minutes. Here is the schedule:

8:50- 3rd Gr./Preschool

9:25- 2nd Gr./Life Skills

10:05- Kindergarten

10:35- 1st Gr.

12:00- 4th Gr.

12:45- 5th Gr./PM EC

1:25- 6th Gr.

It takes many volunteers to help with this event so please email Megan Fettig at mfettig@flcs.k12.in.us if you are able to help. Please make sure you have completed a volunteer background check form using the link on this newsletter.

Teachers have begun recognizing LEADERS in their classroom that have been caught using the 7 Habits: Be Proactive, Begin With the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood, Synergize, and Sharpen the Saw. We hope that students will bring home their leadership certificate and tell you all about it. We are so proud of the leaders in our school!

Our School Picture Day will be Wednesday, September 18th as well as our School Food Pantry. The Pantry opens at 3:30 and is open to any family that has children attending any Frankton School.

Enjoy your Weekend!
