WELCOME TO THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR!
Congratulations, we would like to officially welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! It is an exciting time to live, learn and grow at Grand Valley High School. This year brings some changes for our students, parents and community as we continue working towards creating a district where EVERY student is successful. TOGETHER, we will make 2019-2020 the best year yet!
Please fill out even if you do not think you qualify. We thank you as your effort supports grant writing and funding initiatives district-wide.
Important Upcoming Dates:
Monday, August 12th:
The front office will be closed until 2:00 pm due to mandatory district training.
Fall Sports Practice Begins
Wednesday, August 14th:
6:00-8:00 - Freshmen and New Student Parent Night. Meet your students’ teachers as well as learn about the transition your student is making from their previous educational experience.
Monday, August 19th:
7:40 - 12:00 - Freshmen/ New Orientation w/ BBQ (Transportation will not be provided)
Tuesday, August 20th:
First Day of School! First Bell Rings at 7:30
Thursday, August 22nd:
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Fall Athletic Meeting
Tuesday, August 27th:
School Pictures (packets will be sent home the week prior)
Grand Valley High School Athletics
The XLNT Brain test is to be done online, with the balance portion of the test done at GVHS.
There will be a FALL Athletic Meeting on Thursday, August 22nd in Cardinal Hall gym for all athletes and their parents who are planning on playing a Fall Sport. This meeting is from 7:00-8:30 pm. We will go over the Athletic Handbook and answer any questions. Coaches will be available for questions and will also be covering expectations at this time.

Student Image Publishing (District Policy: JRA/JRC-E-3- Classroom activities and school events are sometimes photographed or videotaped by the school or media groups (newspaper, television, university, district public relations, etc.) In addition, the district or school may want to post articles, video, or photography on district or school websites.
If you DO NOT want your child’s photograph, video, and/or electronic image to be published for news media or school publicity purposes, please complete this form, and return it to your child’s school by September 15.
(Public events such as sporting events, theatre productions, etc. are open to the public and are not covered by this form.)
