Unit B
Unit B will be out of the building for our Arrow Rock field trip on Tuesday, April 18. We are so excited to get to take a trip back in time to learn about culture, school, and family life from the 1800’s. Thank you PTSA for funding this trip!
Unit C
Second Steps Note
All classes will continue to work on the problem-solving skills we started before Spring Break. These skills empower students to be capable of handling interpersonal relationships effectively. This week, we worked on identifying common playground conflicts and using the Problem-Solving Steps. Today’s lesson skills are:
- Choosing to have fun with others rather than get your own way helps you be friends.
- Inviting someone who is being left out to play is the respectful, compassionate thing to do.
- You are better able to resolve conflicts when you are able to calm down and use the Problem-Solving Steps.
Families can reinforce this learning at home by practicing the problem solving steps. Remembering the word “step”, S-T-E-P, will help you remember the steps.
S: Say the Problem
T: Think of Solutions
E: Explore the Consequences
P: Pick the Best Solution
