Knightly Update March 28, 2021
Edition Vol 9 Issue 32
Welcome to the final week of March. As a reminder, there will be no school on Friday due to the spring holiday. For those of you that celebrate, have a Happy Easter.
Please remember that the week of April 5 all sophomores will be taking the AzM2 assessment on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Due to the assessment, students in 9th, 11th and 12th grade will have a late start each of these days beginning their day at 11:30. Additional details are included in this week's update. Best of luck to the Class of 2023 on the taking of this exam.
In last week's update we inadvertently failed to mention a medal winner in this year's AIA Boys Wrestling State Tournament. Our sincere apologies to Nate Huffman, Class of 2022. Nate finished in sixth place in the 132 lbs. weight class. You can see a picture of Nate on the medal stand in our Knights in the Spotlight section. Congratulations, Nate!
As you are aware, Governor Ducey issued an executive order that loosens COVID-19 restrictions in the community. However, it does NOT remove the order requiring school districts and charter schools to require mask-wearing. Mask-wearing remains a requirement at all Chandler Unified schools and offices. In short, NO CHANGES will be made to the mitigation practices currently in place on our campus, including extracurricular activities. I very much appreciate the manner in which our students have been abiding by the policies that have been put in place this year.
I hope you have a very nice week. If there is anything I can do to assist you or your child, please let me know. Enjoy the week.
Rob Bickes
Principal

Important COVID-19 Reminders
Please remember students should not come to school if they have any COVID-19 symptoms, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, are waiting for test results, or have been in close contact (within 6 feet of a person with COVID-19 for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period or had physical contact with a person with COVID-19, you need to stay in quarantine at home for 14 days). Parents need to report this to our nurse, Mrs. Hughes.
