Mervin Bryson (M.B.) Howard
M.B. Howard was my 2X great grandfather.
Summery...
Mervin Bryson lived an amazing life. He grew up in Tipton County, Tennessee, and stayed there his whole life. He married Annie Waits, and they had two sons together. Their sons were Mervin Bryson Howard Jr. and Kieffer Howard. He was the head of his household. He owned a store and also sold," Double Cola," products. Because of his store, he was not a rich man, but a wealthy man. He provided for his family and was a great father, a nice person, a funny person, and many people admired him. He died at 77 years old.
Mervin's Life....
Mervin Bryson was born on September 15, 1897. He lived in Tipton County, Tennessee his whole life. He surprisingly went to school until he was in the tenth grade. He never went to college. After he graduated, he married, Annie Waits of Mississippi on July 21, 1920. Four years later, in 1924, the couple had their first son, Mervin Bryson (M.B.) Howard Jr. Five years after their first son was born, they had another son, Kieffer Howard, in 1929. Mervin Bryson was the head of his household. Mervin owned a store and was a salesman for ,"Double Cola," products. He worked very, very hard! Mervin would trade groceries from his store for gas from his customers, so he could use the gas to drive to Texas to see my grandfather, M.B Howard, at his training base. He actually worked fifty two weeks in the year of 1939, and because he worked the way he did, Mervin was a wealthy man. He later retired. Mervin loved his family, friends, and many others! He enjoyed laughing, he always made sure he provided for his family, and he loved God most of all. Sadly, I didn't get to meet Mervin. He died of natural causes at the age of seventy seven in December of 1974. He has been greatly missed. His legacy will be carried on for a long time.
