Mrs. Hladun's Tidings

VETERANS DAY:

Thank you to all of the Veterans that are a part of the LCE community. We thank you for your service and sacrifice so ensure our freedom. We are so fortunate to have a strong active duty and veteran military presence on our campus, and we are looking forward to doing more to honor our Veterans and active duty military in the coming years.

"LCE Families helping LCE Families with Paradise Families"

COMMUNITY DRIVE TO SUPPORT THOSE IMPACTED BY CAMP FIRE:

Our local community is pulling together to support those who are impacted by the Camp Fire, and the fires in Southern California. Our neighbors are taking in friends and family who have lost everything.

  • On Tuesday, 11/13, we will be hosting a collection by the bus zone
  • From 7:30am-1:30 pm, you can drop off items (new or gently used but clean clothing (preferably warm items) toys, bedding, suitcases, toiletries, diapers, crafts, etc...) at our drive, and our volunteers will be sorting and organizing things. We will not be taking gift cards or cash, but you can learn where to donate those items from our volunteers
  • From 2-4 pm, families who have been displaced to Lincoln or Lincoln families who have family/friends in Paradise can come get what they need
  • Any items that are not picked up will be donated to a shelter benefiting the Paradise community.
BIG thanks to Mrs. Stanley for coordinating this effort with support from many others in our community! If you'd like to volunteer to organize donations, just come on by. Contact Mrs. Stanley at 830 734 1223 with questions or to help out!

PeachJar - A New Way to View Fliers

The district has launched a new electronic flier service called PeachJar to cut down on paper fliers. We will continue to send home paper fliers if you need to return something (i.e. for yearbook orders or for field trip permission) but all other fliers will be posted online!

  • You can access fliers 24/7 from our main webpage (on the right below our mission statement) or on our fliers subsite - just click on the PeachJar button. We are working to get the button loaded on our app, too
  • You'll also receive an email each time a flier is posted, you can go into your personal settings to adjust how often you get those emails (i.e. batch them to send just once a day) (see the email the district sent you your initial password on/around 11/5/18)
  • Learn more about PeachJar here (text and a 1 min parent video)!
  • Stay tuned - as we learn more about how to use PeachJar, you'll start to see new features rolling out to you!
