Hello Sneed Families,

Dear Sneed Dino Families,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a restful, safe and happy holiday season and winter break. It was great fun to greet our students this morning, especially those who have not been with us in person since last March. The New Year brings great hope that our community of learners will continue to stay safe and continue to thrive academically both within our school walls and virtually.

If your child is learning with us in person, please send the device back to school with them for use in the classroom. If your child is learning remotely, now is the time to re-establish a learning routine at home that provides them a distraction free learning space.

Whether your child is virtual or in person, please make sure your child is ready to learn each day by getting a good night of sleep and a healthy breakfast. For virtual students, our cafeteria continues to provide curbside pick-up for the following day breakfast and lunch each afternoon from 4 – 6 pm.

Our next Coffee with the Principal will be a virtual meeting on Thursday, January 21st at 9:00 am. At that time, I will share with you what I know about the surrounding construction projects. I will also discuss upcoming testing requirements and the changes in School Accountability for our students due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Please follow us on Twitter @AliefSneed or let us know how we are doing by writing a review on Facebook. We’d love to hear from you!

See you around the building,

Kristen Creeggan

Uniform Reminders:

Thank you for making sure that our students are here every day ready to learn and be successful. We would appreciate your support in ensuring students are in uniform. When students aren’t in uniform, they have to come to the office to call home or go to the nurse for a change of clothes which causes them to be out of class missing instruction.

Thank you,

Sneed Administration

Uniform Tops:

· Red, White, or Navy Blue Collared Shirt

Uniform bottoms:

· Navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, skorts or skirts

Jeans allowed, no rips or tears.

Make Physical Activity a Family Affair

Parents are their kids' top role models when it comes to healthy living. You can help teach your children to make healthy choices and get moving. Try getting started by planning regular physical activities.

Here are some ideas:

· Take a family walk after dinner.

· Go for a family bike ride, instead of watching TV.

· Take your family to the park and play together.

· Stuck inside? Have a family dance party!
