ITEC 2012
A Technology Conference for Educators, by Educators
It's that time of year again!
ITEC promotes the use of technology in education by demonstrating to its members, other educators and the public, developments in educational technology and how its appropriate use supports teaching and learning.
ITEC serves its members by:
- conducting an annual educational technology conference in October
- providing a network of educators available to share their expertise
- making contact with legislative groups, department of education, user groups, and other professional organizations
- displaying information about the organization at statewide conferences
- providing leadership on how technology can impact teaching and learning

This Year's Presentations...
This year's ITEC Conference will be at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa, from October 14-16, 2012. This conference promises to be exciting with keynote speakers David Pogue and Marco Torres. However, we cannot have a worthwhile conference without your help! Please consider contributing to the conference by submitting a proposal for a Monday or Tuesday educator breakout session. The success of the conference is because of educators like you who are willing to share your time and knowledge with other Iowa educators.
Sessions for 2012 will be aligned with the Iowa Core, in five key strands: School Improvement, Technology Infrastructure, Professional Learning, Digital Age Teaching & Learning, and Virtual Schooling/E-learning. The various strands and topics are listed below. If you have expertise in one or more of these areas, please consider a submission. Be sure to include details in your submission; similar titles might have entirely different content.
Lead presenters of sessions will be given a $35.00 discount on the registration fee as a way of thanking you for your generous contribution.
