RHHS Wildcats: News You Can Use

#WEareRH - Weekly Newsletter - March 20, 2020

Meals on the Bus

Beginning Monday, March 23rd, breakfast and lunch "to go" will be provided to all children 18 years and younger. Children must be present to receive the meals.

Meals may be picked up at RHHS beginning at 11am. There will be signs directing you where to pick up the meals once on campus. We ask that you not get out of your vehicle. We will deliver the meals to the cars.

Buses will also make meal deliveries to three of our neighborhoods in south Bryan:

Ashton at 11am, Piercefield at 11:15am, and Plantation at 11:30am.

If you have questions, please email Ms. McNeal directly at dmcneal@bryan.k12.ga.us .

School closure & elearning

RHHS and all school buildings in Bryan County are currently closed and expected to reopen April 13, 2020.

During the closure, instruction will continue using elearning platforms. Students will use Google Classrooms to interact with teachers and receive instruction daily, Monday - Thursday. Teachers will be available (via email) to students and parents from 8am-3pm daily, Monday - Thursday. RHHS has set a "schedule" to provide structure for both students and teachers. We fully understand that some students will not be able to follow the schedule, and this is absolutely fine. I simply suggest that students do their best to complete instructional activities daily (even if it is at a time outside of 8am-noon).

We have created a link on our RHHS homepage with information related specifically to elearning. This is a good reference point for general information. We are hoping to coordinate an "eOpenHouse" next week to give parents an idea of what and how their children should be using their chromebooks and resources over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for this.

Updates and information will be communicated using the RHHS website, our Facebook page, and Twitter.

Advisement and 7 Mindsets

Each week, students meet in advisement and have a lesson from 7 Mindsets. As you know, 7 Mindsets is the curriculum we use for our social/emotional learning.

During our time away from the school building, we are going to share the week's lesson here. Please consider viewing the lesson as a family and participating in it together.

Use this link to access the lesson for this week: Live to Give - Make a Difference

Information about upcoming events

The following events have been suspended, postponed or cancelled:

  • All GHSA contests and practices, including band and JROTC, have been suspended until April 13, 2020.
  • Prom has been postponed. We do not yet have another date identified. Once students return to school, we will work to find a new date/location for this event.
