Naquag: 4/20-4/24: Learning Plans
PLUS MORE NAQUAG INFO & PICTURES!!
Greetings Naquag Families!
Yeah for New England's springtime sunny days! As we've learned, if you don't like the weather, wait a minute and our New England weather will change! Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work together and move forward during this worldwide health situation. Our District will begin concentrating on remote learning plans this week.
At the K-2 level, remote learning lessons will initially focus on reviewing essential skills and content that have already been taught and may focus on introducing some new material as aligned with the applicable curriculum framework once students have adjusted to the routine of remote learning. In order to support our ability to gauge the effectiveness of the remote learning lessons and student progress, teachers will be asking for your support in submitting some work for their review. This is not meant to add stress, but hopefully will allow for teacher feedback as well as continued support of the home/ school partnership. WRSD Remote Learning Plan. (Please refer to the K - 2 links at the top of the link.)
You will notice two significant changes with remote learning. The first is that there is now an expectation that students will engage in the learning opportunities outlined for them by their teachers. To support this change, teachers have worked toward defining what remote learning will look like for each grade level. The second change with remote learning is the focus of the work (what is shared with the teachers). Teachers and related service providers will continue to communicate frequently with families, offer targeted activities, and be available for any questions. Classroom teachers will be sharing with families this week to explain and support families as we move forward.
Thank you for your continued patience, flexibility and understanding during these past few weeks. We're all in this together!! Our Naquag's faculty and staff have been amazingly resilient and responsive over the past 4 weeks. Well done!

NEWS FROM THE RUTLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY:
The Rutland Library is starting to do curbside book pick up. Patrons place their order ahead of time, and then can come and pick them up outside the front door. Make your book requests by calling the library at 508-886-4108 *5, or email kids book requests to aislinn@rutlandlibrary.org and adult book requests to kerry@rutlandlibrary.org. Someone will be at the library this Tuesday, April 21st from 1-4 to fill book requests and get them outside. If this is not a convenient time for you, let us know and we will arrange to meet you at another time. It may go slowly at first as staff is having to stagger hours so we are not here at the same time. Thanks for your patience! And happy reading!
