Students will return calendars to their teachers on April 3rd - 7th. Scottish Rite for Children will return a prize for every participant who turns in the calendar. Happy reading!

Safety Around Water and Fundamentals of Swimming - FOR 2nd GRADE STUDENTS

BCISD, in conjunction with the YMCA, is pleased to offer all 2nd grade students a Safety Around Water and Fundamentals of Swimming program. The lessons teach students about safe behavior around the water and will orient students to the aquatic environment to create a sound foundation for water safety skills.

All lessons will be under the direction of the YMCA of the Highland Lakes staff members. All personnel are certified and have a vast array of aquatic experience in water safety courses and Lifeguard Training.

Each 2nd grade student will have the opportunity to travel to the YMCA over a 2-week period, 3 days each week for a total of 6 lessons. Each 2nd grade student must have a permission slip signed and returned in order to participate.

As an initiative of the Strategic Planning Process, Burnet CISD is excited to unveil Staff Shout Outs! Have you experienced great customer service from a Burnet CISD employee? Has a Burnet CISD co-worker gone the extra mile in supporting you in some way? If so, we want to hear about it! A Shout Out is a special recognition that acknowledges a District staff member who has demonstrated a special effort, an outstanding job, caring customer service, a project of high-quality workmanship, a team mentality, and/or is helping students CRAFT the FUTURE. Anyone can submit a Staff Shout Out recognizing one of our outstanding staff members. The Staff Shout Out form can be found at the following link:

Shout Outs!

Staff Shouts Outs will be posted online and shared with staff each week.

Average Daily Attendance for SGE

ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance. Average Daily Attendance is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. Check out SGE's ADA trends in the chart above.

We're going to "STRIVE FOR 95!" while also knowing that "98 IS Great!" We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able. Let's work for 98%!
