Welcome to School Counseling!
September 2020
Dear Families,
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kiser and Mr. Ewaida
Our First Classroom Lesson:
No Place for Hate
What is No Place for Hate?
No Place for Hate® is an organizing framework for K-12 schools committed to creating sustainable change that leads to improved school climate. Participating schools are able to incorporate ADL’s anti-bias and anti-bullying resources within their existing programming to form one powerful message that all students have a place to belong. Since the program was launched in 1999, over 1,700 schools across the country have joined the No Place for Hate® movement nationwide.
What is the Goal of No Place for Hate®?
The goal of No Place for Hate® is to inspire a national movement led by students, educators, and family members who are committed to using the power of positive peer influence to build inclusive and safe schools in which all students can thrive.
During our first classroom lesson this year, we will be doing activities that focus on social justice, inclusion, diversity, and becoming change agents. We will also be signing our pledge as a promise to always be kind.
