Franklin Family News
Volume 2 - Issue 2 - August, 2021
From the Desk of Principal Anderson
Greetings from Franklin!
I hope this newsletter finds everyone in a favorite shady spot! Seems like there was no warm up to the summer heat-it just turned hot, hot! Here at Franklin, our students have been showing that they too are hot! Hot! They have turned up the heat in competitions and come out winners. We are proud of them and their accomplishments, which are illustrated throughout this newsletter.
As we hit midway through summer vacation, it is time to start turning the focus to the upcoming school year. Through this newsletter, we will continue to update families on upcoming events and issues surrounding this school. For example, knowing that families will start school shopping soon, we have included our dress code to help guide your purchases.
The most important piece of information at this time is to save our orientation dates! Orientation is extremely valuable for your student as he or she will meet the teachers, learn to navigate the school, and receive his or her class schedule.
Orientation this year will be over three days- August16-18, with an open house for each grade level following for parents to attend. This year, orientation days are by grade level:
- Eighth grade students will attend Aug 16 from 8:00am - noon
- Seventh grade students will attend Aug 17 from 8:00am - noon
- Sixth grade students will attend Aug. 18 from 8:00am - noon
Orientation will be 8am-Noon each day. Parents are asked to provide transportation, to and from orientation, and to attend the first 30 minutes of the orientation. If you are new to Franklin, our newsletter is posted monthly on our website. We encourage all our members-staff, students, and families to read it as it is a wonderful resource to see what is happening at Franklin.
With Warm Regards,
Sherry
