Green JHS Weekly Bulletin for December 7th
Principal's Message
Good morning E.O. Green Families,
It is hard to believe this is December, midway into the second academic quarter. This is the perfect time to review current academic grades, missing assignments, projects, assessments, or low quiz performance. Your student should take advantage of the winter recess to catch up with readings and classwork.
8th-grade parents, please be aware that your student will be learning about the various career pathways offered at the high schools. Virtual presentations will take place in the classroom via ZOOM. We will text you video links to view it with your student.
December 18th will be a minimum day for all students, 8:40 am to 11: 40 am. Your child's teacher will provide information on your student's schedule for that day.
On Dec. 18, we are administering the California Healthy Kids Survey to all 8th-grade students. It is super important that your student is present in class. This is a critical survey that will help promote better health and well-being among our youth and improve the school learning environment. The survey gathers information on youth's developmental supports, school connectedness, barriers to learning, school safety, and health-related concerns such as physical activity and nutritional habits. It is voluntary and anonymous. If you are interested in opting out, call the front office. The survey will be administered on December 18, 2020, during your child's 3rd -5/6 period class.
Finally, the E.O. Green teachers, counselors, speech pathologists, psychologists, custodians, front office staff, kitchen staff, para-educators, printing center staff, support staff in special education, campus assistants and the administrative team wish you a restful, safe and healthy winter break in the company of your family members. Please take care.
Sincerely,
Principal, Mrs. Melgoza-Vasquez

Atentamente,
Directora, Irma Melgoza-Vasquez
