Important Testing Information

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 8TH GRADERS for doing such a great job on the PSAT 8 this week! We had nearly 100% attendance, as well as everyone being on time & taking the test seriously. We are very proud of this class. If your student missed the PSAT 8, they will need to make this up on Wednesday, 4/26, starting @ 7:25. We will contact students & parents for more information about PSAT 8 makeups.

MSTEP 6, 7 & 8TH IS NEXT WEEK!

Your student was sent an email this week about preparing for their MSTEP tests next week. Please ask them to share this with you - the highlights of this email include CHROMEBOOKS MUST BE CHARGED & UPDATED for both Tuesday, 4/18 and Thursday, 4/20 mornings for testing. Here is our MSTEP schedule for next week - MSTEP SCHEDULE 2023. Please note there will be full days of school, both Tuesday, 4/18 and Thursday, 4/20. Please be sure your student is at school on time, so that they have the full amount of time to complete their tests, and they don't disrupt their testing room.

If your student needs support, please contact their AGS School Counselor. We are happy to help.

Autism Acceptance Spirit Week

Magnificent Mind Monday: Autism is a neurological variation, which means the brains of autistic people work differently than the brains of allistic (non-autistic) people—and that’s AMAZING! Celebrate how amazing it is that all our minds work in different, wonderful ways by wearing a fun hat!

Neurodiversity Tuesday: To celebrate the beauty in the diverse spectrum of the human mind, wear a colorful or tie-dyed shirt to school!

What’s Your Passion Wednesday: One characteristic of autism is to show incredibly focused passion for topics of interest. What are you passionate about? Wear a t-shirt that shows something you love!

Sensory Friendly Thursday: Autistic people often have a variety of sensory sensitivities. Dress up today in your comfy clothes (including school appropriate pjs and/or sunglasses). If possible, teachers may use natural light in the classroom instead of fluorescents.

We Are All Tigers Friday: Love and acceptance go a long way. Wear orange and black to show your support and acceptance for autistic individuals, because we are all FENTON TIGERS!

Community Partner: Crumbl Cookie of Fenton

Thank you to Crumbl Cookie of Fenton for supplying AGS with Free Crumbl Coupons! Starting May 2 we will be running a Kindness for Crumbl Campaign and students will have the opportunity to earn a Free Cookie Coupon. Shout out to Makynze Stoll, 8th grader and Crumbl Connoisseur, who helped to come up with the idea. AGS is very thankful for our Community Partners!
