Return to In-person Instruction Survey
As school districts across Chester County and our region consider a return to in-person instruction, we have created this questionnaire to get a sense of how many families will want to return in a hybrid model.
It is important for us to have an accurate number of students who will be returning in person; therefore, please complete this questionnaire by Wednesday, September 30th. You can access the questionnaire here: (https://forms.gle/nr2pPQjeYtbksCf87)
Hispanic Heritage Month Spotlight: Cesar Chavez
The spotlight for this week is one of today's most influential Hispanic Americans:
Union leader and labor organizer Cesar Chavez, who dedicated his life to improving treatment, pay and working conditions for farm workers.
Cesar Chavez was born near Yuma, Arizona, on March 31, 1927, Cesar Chavez employed nonviolent means to bring attention to the plight of farmworkers and formed both the National Farm Workers Association, which later became United Farm Workers. As a labor leader, Chavez led marches, called for boycotts and went on several hunger strikes.
Mandatory Classes: Related Arts and Project Lead the Way
Related Arts and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) classes are an important part of a well-rounded education. Integrating Related Arts and Project Lead the Way classes into students’ daily schedules is important because they help learners develop creative problem-solving skills, motor skills, language skills, social skills, and decision-making skills.
Related Arts classes and Project Lead the Way classes meet from 1:00-1:40 or 2:30-3:10. Your student is scheduled to attend one of these sessions and attendance is required.
Related Arts classes and Project Lead the Way classes alternate between synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded) lessons, so it is important to check your student’s daily schedule to ensure that he/she arrives to classes on time. It is also important that your student know how to navigate their Related Arts teachers’ and Project Lead the Way teachers’ Canvas pages and to check their course agendas and Canvas announcements daily. This practice will ensure that students are prepared for each of their classes every day.

21st Century After School Program
Hello Reeceville Elementary Families!!!!
My name Ms.Claudette, and I am the Program Coordinator with the 21st Century After School Program at Reeceville Elementary. This school year we would like to share some exciting news and tell you all about some new learning experiences that is going to be offered to your child(ren).
Like many schools throughout Chester County, classes are being offered remotely/virtually. Many teachers have begun to incorporate new tools and resources into their daily lessons. And students are experiencing new methods of learning which has an important, lasting impact on their educational experience. Throughout this transition, it has become very apparent that with the required physical distance between teachers and students, it is more important than ever to find ways to connect with students and keep them actively engaged, motivated and safe within the virtual learning experience.
I am excited to share with you that the 21st Century will be offering a virtual after school program. Our program will be operating Monday through Thursday. During this time your child will be provided with academic support that will assist with daily school assignments, extension activities and/or homework. Our program will also provide STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and Social Emotional Learning Enrichment.
Our 21st Century teachers will also be utilizing the Matific, educational math program. This program has over 1,500 interactive and engaging math activities and lessons. It is one of the most effective ways to help children learn the fundamentals of mathematics. Implementing Matific is an EXCELLENT way to help boost “math confidence” within children, while turning screen time into learning time.
If you would like your child to participate in the 21st Century Virtual After School Program, please feel free to contact me:

I look forward to speaking with all of you and starting this new and exciting school year!!
