Welcome Back to a New School Year!

Time is flying!

Greetings, PAHS Students and Families! I hope that everyone has been enjoying the summer months and some downtime. It is so hard to believe that it is time to start thinking about the Fall and the first day of school! Didn't we just have graduation?!!

We are so excited to start the 2022-2023 school year and welcome students and teachers back into the building. There have been some exciting changes happening at the high school over the summer. We will be welcoming our incoming 9th graders and new students with an orientation and picnic later this month. We also have a new bell schedule, some new faces on our staff, and brand new turf on Washington Field!

The PAHS Newsletter comes out every Tuesday during the school year, so be on the lookout. Keep reading for all the latest!

New Bell Schedule for 2022-2023

We have made some needed improvements to the bell schedule for the upcoming school year. In order for us to provide students with enough instructional minutes to satisfy PA Department of Education guidelines, we have eliminated our 8th period Flex and built extra time into 3rd period.

This change is actually welcome, as it brings with it some great benefits! 3rd period will now operate as our "homeroom" period. Students will remain in 3rd period after instruction for announcements, assemblies, etc. TCHS students will also be assigned a homeroom classroom to report to when they arrive at school so they will not miss out on anything. Every student will have a 3rd period teacher/homeroom assigned to them.

We are confident that this change will benefit student learning and also promote community at the high school. We are looking forward reaping the benefits as a school community! New schedule is posted below.

Parking Passes

Dear Parents & Class of 2023,

One of the privileges afforded to our senior class is the opportunity to obtain an on-site parking pass, which will allow students to park in the designated student parking areas on-campus. Students will be assigned a spot and the number on their parking pass will correlate to the number of their spot. Parking applications will be accepted on a first-come basis and will be available online on the high school’s website and from the Main Office for students to pick up starting on the first day of school, August 29, 2022. We will not be accepting parking passes prior to the first day of school to allow for all seniors to have an equal opportunity to hand in their form.

The application process/requirements are as follows:

· Complete a Parking Application.

· Return completed application, with $50 annual payment, to the High School Main Office.

Please make checks payable to “Phoenixville Area High School”.

· Eligible students must have no previous parking violations, obligations, or outstanding discipline issues.

There are 100 available student parking spots. Any remaining parking spots will open to members of the Class of 2024 starting on Monday September 12th. Beginning on Monday September 12th, any student who does not have a parking pass will not be permitted to park in our parking lots. Students who park without a pass will be given 2 warnings and then the police will be contacted.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Reutter at or at 484-927-5119.
