August 9, 2021
I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful summer! We are looking forward to returning to full in-person learning on Monday, August 16th. We know the most optimal learning model is when students are in-person with their teachers. Not only is it the most ideal learning environment it is also what is generally best for students’ social and emotional needs. We are proud that our staff has been able to meet the needs of our community of learners during these unique times.
We will, of course, continue to monitor state and local guidelines and make any necessary adjustments to our plans. We will continue to follow the local guidance from the Macomb County Health Department and Chippewa Valley Schools. We are excited to continue to pursue the IB curriculum in the way it was designed to be taught—student-centered, inquiry-base, collaborative and in-person!
This year, we plan to focus on our school culture. We want to rebuild the connectedness that is an integral part of our community. It will be a great experience to be back together for in-person learning. Thank you in advanced for your patience, trust and partnership!
