Lead Teacher Focus - The Pre-Conference
Lead teachers will have an opportunity to think about how to use the pre-conference to support student ownership. Many times when teachers have released the cognitive load to the students, they have done a lot of work to prepare the students to handle the lift. The pre-conference is an opportunity to discuss the planning and preparation that happens behind the scenes. When done well, the teacher has the opportunity to discuss the intentionality behind the instructional decisions.
