Health & PE:

In the second quarter, Mrs. Karek will teach Health Education for Pre-K through 5th grade. Mr. Pittsinger will continue Physical Education in the gym. The exercise for the month of November is the Mountain Climber.

In Media during November, PK will be focusing on Fall Holidays and being thankful. K-2 will be working on coding using Scratch JR. Grade 3 will be introduced to Scratch, a more complex coding program. Grades 4 and 5 will work on strengthening their Scratch coding skills from last year, working on some more advanced projects.

Mr. Bouchat would like to thank everyone for participating in the Book Fair. It was a new change using the ewallet, but we worked through it and got books in the hands of our students. If your child has any remaining funds on their ewallet, these can be used to purchase items from Scholastic Online.

PreK, Kindergarten, first, and second grades are focusing this month on steady beat, movement to steady beat, recognizing instruments, and melodic patterns.

Third, fourth, and fifth grade students are finishing up projects where they are creating their own version of a song.

Most grades will be making artwork that examines nature and culture. Third grade will explore the theme of overcoming challenges and how that applies to art. Additionally, the Pre-K students will continue to make art pieces that can relate to their curriculum.

In Technology class, students will continue to work on coding skills.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students are grasping the control of the mouse and improving in its use.
