DR. NULL'S CISD WORD OF THE YEAR...
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK...
THINGS TO KNOW...
*Lisa McGarrah will be here Monday for staff development during your planning time. She will be meeting you in the library so please make sure to attend.
*Parliament meetings are beginning. I'm so excited about this venture and see how we pull together to become a more cohesive faculty.
*Parent Information Night is Thursday. Please be reminding parents so that they will attend. ALL professional staff should be in attendance at this event.
*Friday is our Academic Conference with Dr. Null and others from Central Office.
*Single Sign On Absence Management System - If you have not put in an absence this year through Single Sign on to Frontline, please go make sure you can get into the absence system. Apparently people are having trouble with it and we want to ensure that everyone can get in so that you record your own absences.
*T-shirt sales - School t-shirts are being sold this year through the p.e. department, thanks Felix and LaVerne. Please help encourage parents to purchase as these will be the shirt students are encouraged to wear for field trips. Make sure parents understand this is a one time sale and we will not do a second order in the spring. Teachers are welcome to purchase a student shirt to wear on Fridays if you would like but it is optional.
*Gretchen Montgomery will be here on Thursday visiting classrooms.
*Academic Conference is next Friday. Please see dress code change for the week below.
*Attendance - Be sure you are documenting in ViewIt every time you are calling parents about absences. If you have a student who you are noticing a trend with tardies, please contact parents and talk to hem about the importance of being at school on time.
*LEP Students: Please come see Kara to get your English Language Assessment for Report Cards for your LEP (1C) students. Please fill out the top part of the report card: Name, Student ID, Date of birth, school and grade. Please leave the date of entry section blank. We will need to have these copied and ready for the 1st nine weeks report cards.
DRESS CODE CHANGE FOR THE WEEK
Friday - Academic Conference - Please wear your Wednesday shirt with jeans. Those presenting will need to wear their Wednesday shirt and nice pants or a skirt and may change after the presentation.
POSITIVITY PROJECT
Attached are the links to the slide shows provided by Positivity Project. Feel free to use your grade level's slide show throughout the week or do your own thing! The character strength of the week is CURIOSITY. 🙂

PARLIAMENT OF OWLS
Your team has been issued a September challenge. Looking forward to seeing those completed.
TECHNOLOGY STAFF DEVELOPMENT
She will also be having you sign up for a time for her to come in and teach/observe in the classroom. 3rd and 4th grade will be September 23 and PK-2 will be September 26. These sign ups are on a voluntary basis, but the more we use her, the more we get her help!
EVALUATIONS/WALKTHROUGHS/GOALS
WALTHROUGHS will continue. We are doing our best to hit every classroom, every week between Kara and myself. Not all will be a "formal" walkthrough with a write up, but we will do our best to leave a note or an email to follow up.
EVALUATIONS - Formal evaluation windows will be coming soon. If you haven't signed up on Kara or my door for your evaluation, please take care of that on Monday!
PLC TIME
Fourth and Kinder need to make time talk about Data Tracking this week or next. Please let myself and Rachael know which day you will put this on the agenda so that we will be present.
