One of the causes of the holocaust was simply the spread of hate of Judaism through Christians built up over two millennia. Also, Jews were prevalent in many professional jobs, therefore, making it able to blame them for not allowing others to have these jobs.

Immediate Effects

  • Europe lost nearly 2/3rds of it's jews
  • Millions were killed
  • Many buildings were destroyed
  • Many jews left poland

Lasting Effects

Years after, the holocaust is an example of human cruelty. It is a low point in our history, and now stands to prevent any future inhumane killings or genocide. People still remember the terrible things that happened and work to prevent it from happening again by reminding everyone else.
