#WatchAndLearn: We have planned for all teachers to participate in this great learning experience two times this year - once per semester. Unfortunately, next week looks REALLY hectic between Nature Trails, Book Fair, Marcia Visiting, Adventure Dash, Fun Night... must I go on??? Hahaha! We will POSTPONE #WatchAndLearn to remove at least one thing from your plate for next week and reschedule this observation of each other to November 7. Thank you for all you do to be amazing - we truly can't wait for everyone to learn from each other... we just think that NEXT week is NOT the week! HA! :)
Summary:
Next week is busy.
We love you.
NO #WatchAndLearn THIS THURSDAY... moved to Nov 7!
Vision Focus - Culture
Don't get sucked into the Evil Vortex!!!
I want to share THIS ARTICLE 1) because it is hilarious and will make you laugh, and 2) because it makes some really good points about how we can overcome DEVOLSON.
At Rennell, we are committed to having a collaborative culture in which we value each other's strengths by being relationship-centered, reflective, and lifelong learners. BUT when the crazy-business of DEVOLSON starts to stress us out, we can lose sight of that culture.
In the article, they say one of the first steps to overcoming this stressful time of year is to acknowledge it. It is a stressful time of year! Once we admit that, some of the little things that were really bothering us may not seem so huge. The busyness of this time of year can overwhelm us and make us lose sight of our culture goals.
Let's not let that happen to us here at Rennell. We have a wonderful collaborative culture where we value each other's contributions. Continue to lift each other up and remember not to talk about others behind their backs. Address issues head-on, ask questions, and work to make Rennell the best we can possibly be - but always do so with kindness.
Scroll through the article to get more great (and funny) strategies to help you get through DEVOLSON without getting taken down into the vortex! :)
