Note from Literacy Specialist
Hello JFK Community!
I want to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! My name is Erin Aylward, and I am the K-5 Literacy Specialist at JFK. In my role, I have the privilege of working with teachers and students in the area of literacy to ensure all students progress toward grade-level standards while fostering a love of reading and writing. As a district, we have embraced the workshop model while providing opportunities for differentiated instruction in small groups to meet the needs of all learners. I can honestly say it has been a wonderful start to the school year, and I have loved seeing so many returning and new faces.
Throughout the year, on this platform, I will provide literacy ideas, happenings, or updates to build a bridge between home and school. You will also hear from Kerri Falzone, our Math Specialist/Coach as well.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at aylwarde@cantonma.org or by phone at 781-821-5080 x5113.
