Future Ready - Finding Reliable Sources

In the future, students will be expected not to acquire knowledge, but to have the ability to locate accurate information. The key word is accurate and the future is now.

You want your students to research relevant topics and you want them to access the “good” stuff. We’re talking china and silver, not paper and plastic-ware. You want them to use authoritative sources and peer-reviewed articles, not random websites from questionable characters, but finding reliable sources is not always easy, at first try.

Your Librarian is here to help!

The Library offers classes in:

  • Evaluating Sources (the who, what, when, where, and why of it)

  • Creating Citations (in MLA or APA format)

  • Researching using Databases (selecting the appropriate databases, using advanced search features, identifying keywords)

Classes can be held in the Library or your classroom, and are modified to fit your lesson.

The Library - More Than Just Good Books

Library After School

The Library is open after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until 3:45.

We offer homework help, free tutoring, test prep, and test retakes (go take a lunch break, for a change). Students may work quietly or use computers.

  • Teachers - you may drop off test retakes in Ms. Hibler's mailbox or at the Library.
  • There is a late bus if students need transportation.
