Car Tag
Please remember to have your child’s car tag with you when you are picking your child up after school. If you have forgotten your car tag or have misplaced it when you come to pick up your child, we will ask you to go to the office and they will make a new one for you. This is for their safety. Thank you so much for your cooperation.
HOMEWORK
Please have your child read for sixty minutes each week. Your child writes about what they have been reading, in a reading response journal every morning. Students are also responsible for their Reading Log Folders as well as any other math or reading assignments for the week. All homework is due on Friday. Reading logs and homework will be given on the following Monday.
Please work with your child on addition math facts. Some possible great times to practice might be while driving in the car, cooking dinner, or a special time you set aside.
A NOTE ABOUT HOMEWORK
Every student has an opportunity to correct a grade below a 70%. When your child comes home with a grade below a 70%, they can make corrections and return it to me for a maximum grade of a 70%. I will take missing work or work that needs to be corrected for the entire 6 week period. Work that hasn't been returned to me for a corrected grade of a 70% or is missing work; will stay the same or become a zero at the end of the six week period.
STAAR Results and Report Card Info.
Report Cards will not be mailed this year. Please make sure you have access to your child's record information at https://homeaccess.kellerisd.net/HomeAccess/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2fhomeaccess. You may find more information about how to log in at http://www.kellerisd.net/studentsandfamilies/know/Pages/HomeAccessCenter.aspx.
Your child's STAAR results will be emailed to you in June. The email will have the access code for your child's results.
CLASS PARTY
I am requesting that each student bring their favorite box or bag of cereal on Friday to share with their peers. I will provide the other items we will need for the party. I will also bring donuts for students who don't like cereal.
Please be mindful of peanut allergies throughout our building. I am requesting the cereal not have peanut butter as an ingredient.
