Biography
Max Weber was born on April 21, 1864 in Germany. He went to college and later became a professor, but suffered a mental breakdown in 1897. Because of his breakdown, he was not able to work for 5 years. Later in 1905 he published his most famous work, The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism. He returned to teaching in 1918 and died in 1920. He is considered the father of modern sociology.

Weber's writing helped form the basis of modern sociology. His influence runs throughout the realms of sociology, politics, religion and economics. He hugely influenced the foundation of sociology.
